2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. The provider is Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (“Cloudflare”).

When you open the site, Cloudflare records the technically necessary access data that your browser transmits automatically:

• IP address of the requesting device
• date and time of the request
• name and URL of the file requested
• amount of data transferred and the status of the request
• browser and operating system used (user agent)
• where applicable, the previously visited page (referrer)

This processing is strictly necessary in order to operate the site securely and reliably. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the technically correct and secure operation of the site and in defending against attacks). This data is not combined with other data sources and is not evaluated for marketing purposes.

A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Cloudflare. Transfer of personal data to the USA cannot be ruled out. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; in addition, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses pursuant to Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR apply.

3. Local storage of your game progress

The game stores your progress (chem-shards, purchased skill-tree upgrades, best time, number of runs and the mute setting) in your browser's local storage. This data:

• remains exclusively on your own device,
• is never transmitted to me or to any third party,
• contains no personal data,
• can be deleted at any time via your browser settings (this will erase your game progress).

Because this storage is strictly necessary for the function you explicitly requested — saving your progress — it does not require consent under § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG. There is therefore no cookie banner, and none is required.

4. What does not happen here

This website expressly does not use:

• cookies of any kind
• web analytics or audience measurement (no Google Analytics or similar)
• tracking, advertising or retargeting technologies
• third-party fonts, scripts, maps or CDNs
• social media plugins or embedded third-party content
• contact forms, newsletters or user accounts

All graphics, fonts and scripts are served exclusively from this domain. Playing the game creates no connections to any third party whatsoever.

5. Your rights

You have the following rights in relation to the controller:

• access to the data processed (Art. 15 GDPR)
• rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
• erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
• restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
• data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
• objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)

An informal message to the e-mail address above is sufficient to exercise any of these rights.

6. Right to lodge a complaint

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence or the place of the alleged infringement. 7. Automated decision-making

No automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place.

8. Changes to this policy

This privacy policy will be updated whenever the technical setup or the legal situation changes.
